Rohini is a sub-city in North West District in New Delhi, also it is the second largest sub-city in Asia. The population of Rohini is more than 850,000 and is expected to grow more than 1 million by the end of the development project by DDA. It was the first major sub-city project of the Delhi Improvement Authority (DDA) in the metropolitan expansion of Delhi, which began in the 1980s to give a diverse society for all income groups. There are 12 zones in New Delhi administered by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Rohini is one of them.
Rohini consists of two-part zones namely Zone “H” (Phase I and Phase II) and Zone “M” (Phase III, IV and V). Also, there are 50 sectors in Rohini.

There are three metro stations in Rohini. Two of them are on Red Line which is Rohini East Metro Station in Sector 14 Rohini and Rohini West Metro Station in Sector 12 Rohini. The third one is on Yellow Line which is Rohini Sector 18, 19 Metro Station on Bawana road near Sector 18 and Sector 19 Rohini.
